# Narlo > Narlo is an email-first workspace for independent brands, suppliers and small B2B teams. It connects to a person's existing email account (Gmail with read-only access, or most IMAP/SMTP providers) and keeps the customers, organisations, quotes, products and opportunities that mail relates to beside it, in a workspace the team shares. Each person's mailbox content stays private to them. Narlo is in private beta and free to join. Key facts: - Narlo is not a replacement for Gmail or a full CRM. It sits between a private inbox and a shared business record. - Mailbox content (message bodies, attachments) is visible only to the person who connected the mailbox. Being a workspace owner or admin never grants access to it. - A mailbox owner can explicitly grant a teammate access to a specific inbox and revoke it at any time. - Customers, organisations, products, quotes and activity are shared across the workspace. - Contact identity is deterministic: the same email address always resolves to the same contact; records are never silently merged. - Opportunities use a fixed pipeline: lead, contacted, samples/trial, quote, negotiation, won, lost. - AI exists in the codebase but is off by default and is not part of how Narlo works today. - There is no native Microsoft 365/Outlook connection yet. - Gmail accounts connected through Google sign-in are read-only: Narlo cannot send from them yet. IMAP/SMTP accounts can read, reply and send. - There is no public pricing yet; joining the private beta is free. - Best fit today: independent and emerging product brands (especially food and beverage) selling through distributors, wholesalers, independent retail and foodservice; also small sales teams, founder-led businesses, account managers and small agencies. ## Pages - [Home](https://narlo.co/): what Narlo is, how it works, which email connections are available today and which are planned - [What is Narlo (FAQ)](https://narlo.co/what-is-narlo/): plain answers to common questions, including AI, privacy, Gmail, Outlook and CRM comparisons - [Security and privacy model](https://narlo.co/security/): how mailbox privacy and workspace sharing work - [Pricing](https://narlo.co/pricing/): private beta status; no public pricing yet - [Retail Guru](https://narlo.co/retail-guru/): flags accounts going quiet, quotes with no follow-up and overdue next actions using fixed, explainable rules over the workspace data (no AI) - [Narlo vs Front](https://narlo.co/narlo-vs-front/): Front shares the mailbox; Narlo keeps mailboxes private and shares a separate business record - [Narlo vs Missive](https://narlo.co/narlo-vs-missive/): Missive shares a team inbox with chat; Narlo keeps mailboxes private and shares a separate business record
